The U1 Lite<\/a> is a semi-torso unit priced around $17,600. The full-body U1 Pro costs roughly $25,000, while the U1 Ultra reaches about $129,500 for the female version and $145,800 for the male version.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The higher-end machines use biomimetic silicone skin, animated eyes, hair, and mouth mechanisms that match speech. UBTECH says the system has 88 degrees of freedom and a dual-pivot neck that can reproduce up to 90% of basic human movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The launch demonstrations showed the robots walking, talking, and dancing, but independent observers also noted slow, stiff motion and carefully staged movements. Reported battery life is only two to four hours, which means even a companion robot may spend a large part of the day charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Behind the humanlike shell is a large language model connected to cameras, microphones, sensors, motors, and joints. The U1 does not simply answer on a screen.
